Violet Hour
Bluebell woodland in spring with sunlight filtering through bare trees
Violet Hour
For a few precious weeks each spring, the English woodland floor turns an almost impossible shade of blue. James Warwick captures this fleeting, enchanting moment with characteristic sensitivity — soft light, elegant trees, and a carpet of bluebells that seems to glow from within. One of nature's greatest annual performances, preserved forever.
Printed on premium archival paper with a generous white border for flexible framing, and hand-signed by James. Available in four sizes: 15"×10", 18"×12", 30"×20" and 45"×30". A natural talking point for any room, Violet Hour particularly suits hallways, landings and living spaces. Artienda's bespoke framing service ensures that every James Warwick print becomes a fully considered interior feature — our team will guide you through frame colours, mount widths and finishes to create something that feels truly bespoke.
James Warwick is a wildlife photographer based in the south of England. In his own words: “I try to capture 'decisive moments' in nature and show wildlife contextually in its environment. I enjoy the process of trying to create memorable and beautiful pictures and I hope that they will inspire people in some way to care about and conserve the natural world. Photography is a unique 'independent art' and like most wildlife and nature photographers, I do not digitally manipulate my pictures as I feel that it is inappropriate to my style of work which concentrates on documenting and interpreting natural history events as I see them in wild and free conditions.”
