Boscia tree and Mount Kenya at dawn, Laikipia County
First Light, Laikipia
As dawn breaks over Laikipia County, a lone Boscia tree stands sentinel against the slowly brightening sky, Mount Kenya rising majestically in the distance. James Warwick captures this ancient, untouched landscape in a moment of profound stillness — the world holding its breath as the African day begins. Quietly spectacular.
Printed on premium archival paper with a generous white border for flexible framing, and hand-signed by James. Available in four sizes: 15"×10", 18"×12", 30"×20" and 45"×30". With its subtle, luminous tones and sweeping sense of space, First Light, Laikipia works beautifully as a statement piece in both classic and contemporary interiors. Artienda's bespoke framing service will help you find the perfect frame and mount to do full justice to James' extraordinary vision — our consultants are on hand to guide you every step of the way.
James Warwick is a wildlife photographer based in the south of England. In his own words: “I try to capture 'decisive moments' in nature and show wildlife contextually in its environment. I enjoy the process of trying to create memorable and beautiful pictures and I hope that they will inspire people in some way to care about and conserve the natural world. Photography is a unique 'independent art' and like most wildlife and nature photographers, I do not digitally manipulate my pictures as I feel that it is inappropriate to my style of work which concentrates on documenting and interpreting natural history events as I see them in wild and free conditions.”
