Skye Holland Charcoal Portrait Commissions - Terms & Conditions
Each commission must be discussed in a short discovery call with Skye Holland prior to acceptance of the commission. This is important in terms of discussing how to photograph the subject (animal, pet or person: one face or head & shoulders) and any particular comments between client and artist.
Up to 3 high resolution photographs to be sent to Skye via Dropbox or We Transfer
Acceptance of commission based on agreement on photo
Full payment on acceptance of commission. Refunds or a second drawing are only given in the very rare instance that the client does not recognise the subject. Skye Holland is very experienced and this has never happened. Sometimes very tiny “tweaks” can be made after the client sees the final drawing.
The commission is undertaken in Skye Holland’s signature drawing style with charcoal and some occasional use of metallic pigment highlights. If there is some other specific request, this can be discussed prior to acceptance of the commission.
Three full weeks between receipt of photo and commission acceptance and delivery of finished artwork to be allowed. Last accepted commissions for Christmas will be 9th December 2020 and 9th Dec 2021.
First come, first served…. Skye is only able to undertake a certain number of portrait drawings during busier times like Christmas due to her care and integrity around each commission.
The portrait format (horizontal, landscape or square) will depend on the photo and Skye will advise this prior to acceptance of the commission.
Vouchers can be generated as personalised Christmas gifts.
Portraits are personal and Skye Holland and Blue Leopard will guard the identity and protect privacy at all times. Permission will always be sought for any kind of use of the digital image after this conversation.
The copyright of the portrait belongs to Skye Holland. The final portrait cannot be duplicated or shared digitally for commercial gain. In this instance, this would need to be disclosed and a separate fee discussed.
